Brad Ashford calls for gun control for people on no-fly list
WASHINGTON — Rep. Brad Ashford has lined up with a group of fellow Democrats pushing legislation aimed at preventing suspected terrorists from buying guns.
“I support the Second Amendment,” the Omaha congressman said in a statement to The World-Herald. “But keeping guns and explosives out of the hands of suspected terrorists is not gun control. It’s a common sense, responsible way to strengthen our national security. I will continue to vote in favor of keeping America safe at home while also pushing for the use of force against terrorists in the Middle East.”
